Your appointment

On arrival information

When you go through the main doors the main reception desk is on your left. Once you check-in please take a seat in the waiting area in front of you. Your clinician will come to collect you from this area to take you to the treatment room.

Please note this is the main reception desk for the medical centre and the waiting area is the main waiting area for the medical centre also.

Important information

If for any reason you can no longer make your appointment, please let us know. If you need to change or cancel your appointment, please call the service at least 48 hours prior to your appointment so it can be offered to someone else.

Please help us to keep patient waiting times low and reduce NHS costs.

If you do not give us sufficient notice to cancel or change an appointment, we may have to discharge you from this service.

Pain Service

Our community pain teams are made up of pain consultants, specialist physiotherapists, clinical psychologists, nurse specialists, occupational therapists, CBT therapists, GP’s and pharmacists. Everyone specialises in persistent pain and works closely as a team to support people living with pain. Our team will help you find ways to manage your pain and lead a better quality of life. They can help you start doing more of what matters to you without making the pain worse and to manage flare-ups. The team can also support you with the emotional impact of living with pain.

As well as one to one support from our team of experts as named above, we offer pain management programmes, medication reviews, and evidence-based injection interventions if appropriate.

Why have I been referred to Connect Health and not the NHS?

In your area, Connect Health has been contracted to provide the MSK service on behalf of the NHS. It is an NHS service, completely free at the point of entry like all NHS services.

Our service brings together a range of specialist MSK clinicians to assess, diagnose and manage your condition within your local community.

What should I wear?

During your assessment you might be required to carry out a number of movements to determine the cause of your pain. Therefore we recommend you wear suitable loose fitting clothing, such as t-shirt, shorts, jogging bottoms and underwear that you are comfortable being assessed in.
