Genshin Impact Natlan Leaks: Pyro Archon May Be The Best Flex Character So Far (2024)

The Pyro Archon of Natlan in Genshin Impact may become the best flex character in the game, according to new leaks about their playable version. Natlan is the sixth major Nation of Teyvat and is set to arrive in HoYoverse’s popular action RPG later this year with Version 5.0. The status of the region is unknown, but the Pyro Archon is expected to play a large role in the story arc – though most will likely only become known with the release of Natlan in Genshin Impact. However, leaks about the Pyro Archon that go beyond their design have emerged.

According to information obtained by the leaker known as Uncle K, which was then shared in a post tagged as “Questionable” on Reddit, some of the Pyro Archon’s rumored skills have been detailed. As seen in the leak, the Natlan character may be able to operate both on the battlefield as well as off-field. Additionally, the leak highlights that the character may have mechanics that increase her whole team’s survivability potential. While the specifics are uncertain, the leaked mechanics do hint at a very flexible character for team comps in Genshin Impact.

The mention of the Pyro Archon operating both on the field and off-field seems to indicate they can work as a main DPS or a sub-DPS. Additionally, the aforementioned sustain mechanics do sound like a support’s abilities, which may confirm that she can take on several different roles. Something similar has already happened with the playable Hydro Archon, Furina, who can be a sub-DPS, a healer, or a buffer, depending on how she is built. Previous Pyro Archon leaks in Genshin Impact have also highlighted possible similarities with Furina.

Past leaks mentioned that the Pyro Archon has dual forms, which are represented by different character designs. The rumored information says that the upcoming character will change between a young girl character model and an adult female. This shift between forms is somewhat reminiscent of Furina, even if the Hydro character’s visual changes are much less drastic and merely affect some color palettes. This is the second time a dual stance for the Pyro Archon is implied in a Genshin Impact leak, giving it even more credibility.

The leak also highlights that the Pyro Archon’s alleged Constellation 2 (C2) is the meta skill for her, while C6 allows her to buff herself and the active character in the team comp – further leaning into the idea that she can operate as a support, too. In addition to that, the most recent leak also says that, narratively, the Dendro Dragon Apep in Genshin Impact is displeased by something done by the Pyro Archon.

For now, these leaks should be considered with extreme caution as they are not only enigmatic in nature, but the information provided may be incorrect or still subject to change. The first Natlan characters should be showcased soon, ahead of the arrival of Version 4.8, though Natlan’s release should only occur in late August if there are no delays to Genshin Impact’s update schedule.
